Full
Drive was established in 2003 and apart from its
leader, Henryk Mi¶kiewicz, the band featured:Marek
Napiórkowski (guitar), Slawomir Kurkiewicz (bass)
and Michal Mi¶kiewicz (drums).
After almost
half a year the band changed its musical profile
to more electric and funky, and it was joined by
Robert Kubiszyn.
Full Drive recorded two albums:
"Full Drive" (2004) with Dorota Mi¶kiewicz, "
FullDrive 2" (2007) with Kuba Badach - both
nominated for the Polish phonographic industry
award "Fryderyk".
The band are currently
working on a new album "Full Drive 3".
From
the beginning of its existence the band has been
performing at major festivals in the country and
abroad. The music of Full Drive is an energetic
fusion of funk, swing and blues, appealing to all
good sounds enthusiasts.
The musical virtuosity and stage
eloquence of improvisations performed by prominent
jazz musicians are always met with enthusiastic
reception.
