"[.]
adding some great jazz improvisations in the
middle. It is both remarkable and highly
satisfying to see the group seamlessly transistion
from a tango to a jazz mood, and back. In a scene
where Piazzolla interpretations abound, most of
which without very satisfactory results, what the
Nuevo Tango Ensamble has accomplished is of great
merit. To make Piazzolla sound new and interesting,
understanding and respecting his music, while at
the same time adding their own original ideas and
interpretation. This is a rare feat deserving of
our utmost respect, as well as our hope that the
Nuevo Tango Ensamble continues to explore its
musical vision in light of Piazzolla's legacy.
Excellent work!" - CESAR LUONGO (USA)
"[.]
I look forward to hearing Pasquale Stafano, Gianni
Iorio, and Alessandro Terlizzi in person, as their
Piazzolla presentation is so dynamic and magical.[.]
Here is no doubt that Nuevo Tango Ensamble has a
successful future ahead of them with future
interpretations and, hopefully, original
compositions, as well." Roberta E. Zlokower
(USA)
"[.]Nuevo
Tango Ensamble giving the work of Piazzolla a
sublimely eloquent and distinct voice, and
fulfilling the great master's wish to keep his
music vibrant, alive, and evolving." Cindy
McLeod (CANADA)
"
[.] Iorio,
Stafano y Terlizzi interpretan y tocan en serio. Y
no bien, sino muy bien, con excelencia musical.
Esto último no se puede decir de muchos intérpretes
que en la Argentina y en Europa se acercan a
Piazzolla por curiosidad o simple oportunismo."
